Go to DiscussionDescription
LEGO council would like to bring forth a proposal regarding its composition. Tim Beiko has been an invaluable member of the council, contributing significantly to LEGO initiatives and providing insightful guidance. However, due to increasing commitments, Tim has found it challenging to dedicate the necessary time to participate actively in these activities and asked to be rotated for potential other candidates.
TL;DR
This Snapshot vote is to support replacement of Tim Beiko with Eric Siu on the LEGO Council and to grant the council power to further change its composition without Snapshot vote in certain circumstances (see Snapshot Vote Proposal).
Introducing Eric Siu
The council would like to nominate a new candidate to join: Eric Siu (@randomishwalk). Below is a brief introduction from Eric himself:
“I’m a part of the Ecodev Coordinators team at the Ethereum Foundation (EF). We act, in part, as ‘glue’ between various teams within the EF and between EF and the broader ecosystem. Sometimes this means I’ll work on proactive/targeted grants. Sometimes this means internal memo writing. Often though, the work entails facilitating collaboration among non-EF ecosystem orgs.” “Before I saw the light, spent some time in tradfi doing long-term public equities investing and investment banking.” “I think Lido is a positive, long-term actor within Ethereum and I would be excited to be a (small!) part of that via the LEGO Council."
Snapshot Vote Proposal
It is proposed to hold a Snapshot vote to support the replacement of Tim Beiko with Eric Siu on the LEGO Council.
Additionally, the LEGO Council seeks DAO support to change its composition without a Snapshot vote in the future, as long as at least 5 original members remain, and the current vote to replace Tim with Eric receives enough support from LDO holders.
The original composition for this purpose is: Alex_L; Eric S; Izzy; kadmil; katernoir; kethfinex; Sam K; vsh
For each rotation, the council will verify that at least 5 original signers remain. If fewer than 5 remain, the council must propose a new composition to the DAO via Snapshot vote.
At the same time:
- in case the person is rotated the process is: a. Council reviews and votes for a candidate on internal vote; b. If accepted new council member verifies their address publicly; c. Council signs the replacing transaction.
- in case the person remains the same and a. there’s an access to current key - council member additionally verifies new address by a signature from the current address; b. no access to the key - council member in that case should verify their personality to the other members of the council via other sources (social network account + video call or in other sufficient method of the council’s preference).

- Voting options:
